Can anyone tell me the command to list the hardware in the machine, and will it go so far as to tell me the make and model #?

THanks, Joe

hw -v

Thanks. It helped to a point, as it gave me the name and model of the nic card. However, there is a SCSI tape drive, and a SCSI controller card that it does not seem to know. Can I get that somehow without opening the machine?
Thanks,

Joe

The SCSI adapter must be shown by the hw -v command.
The SCSI tape drive, if correctly connected and terminated should be discovered during the POST .
