We have an HP machine which suddenly indicated that it could not find the operating system on the hard drive. We removed the (scsi) hard drive and put it in another machine as a secondary drive so we could extract some data off of it. The drive is visible in device manager (which says it is working propertly), but does not show up in disk management. The drive powers up and spins. Any help appreciated.

Hard Drive Issues

Sounds like the hard drive is not booting (master boot record). Probably dead drive...may need to get a harddrive data recovery service to restore the data.
