IS-IT--Management
Hopefully this is in the right place. I did not see a
system specific forum for my question. Any help appreciated.
New PBX Avaya systems in my call center, configured to use standard Plantronics headsets formerly used with an amplifyer box with the our old Nortel/Centrex phones.
Works great for headsets with no add-ons.
Using Teljack to quick-connect from phone to headsets.
Some agents wish to use handsets instead of headsets.
Logic said if we connect phone to telco/quick cord then use a second quick/telco cord to get to the handset it might work ...but zero signal for ear and from vox.
Working with 4 wire BK,R,W,G .
I can get either a strong dial tone OR a strong voice transmittal ... but never BOTH at the same time.
Since the headsets work great ... what is different in
a regular headset setup than for a handset. Any ideas?
