Handling multiple conferences

I have a customer that uses bridged call appearances and often needs to create and manage multiple conference calls at the same time. Is there a way to have multple conferences on one phone? Right now we have the user using meet-me conference, but they don't like it for some reason. 500V2 R8042

Coulod try receptionist console , but why not just have meet me conf with a direct short code on buttons if needed , why dont they like meet me conf?

We ran into this same thing. The user had bridged appearances for 3 or 4 of her bosses and would start call for them and when they were ready they could just pick up their phone. They could only ever manage 1 conf at a time. Every time you hit the conf button on a phone no matter what bridged appearance or call appearance the calls were on they bridged into 1 call. We had to use meet me for it.

Conf meet me is easy to do, she just rings them and transfers them to the relevant shortcode, it's asking a bit much of bridged functioning it seems so they will have to like it or lump it

ya i agree andy. i think on the older definity you could do it all with bridged appearances and that was what they wanted.

The customer just came off of a Definity where they were able to manage multiple conferences with bridged call appearances, and they purchased an Avaya system from us because they wanted the same feature but they never really explained to us how it worked, just that they needed to have multiple simultaneous conferences. It would be nice to have the option of which appearance to conference in as opposed to conferencing in any/all calls on a phone. I'm going to tell the customer they are going to have to get used to using meet-me conference until Avaya adds the feature in a future release....

Which they won't, the Definity's conferencing was inferior to the IP Office, many used to bolt on IP Offices just for it's conferencing ability

Indeed, there are IPO's put in just only for conferences.

Customer, always so demanding but they bought the system so they did not do there homework very well.
OR the sales guy told it was possible but that is a different story
