I have a cisco 7206. It has a Fast Ethernet and then I have an added card that is Four ethernet's.

When I load in the card I get an error that says something like duplex error between FE0/0 and E4/0

I know this is because I have the FastEthernet running at full duplex and have the ethernet running at half but is this going to cause a performance problem or any other problem or can I leave it like this. Right now I have everything turned down to half until I get some specifics on this.

Thanks
Ron

I had the same problem in my lab on a 7204. I think the 7200's have a problem when autodetecting port settings. My current config has all the ethernet interfaces in my lab going to a 3524 (never have to move a patch cable again). I can't seem to recreate the error-msg. Try hard coding the speed/duplex on both sides.
