Hello all,

After reading a post on someone having issues with charges for international calls, I was wondering what are the best precautions to take to avoid such a hassle. Our system was set up very basic so I doubt any of the "necessary" steps were taken here and I would like to not have to deal with the headache of being hacked into if possible. I know mailbox PWs are a good place to start but they are only 4 digits and should be easily brute forced, just guessing.

Any ideas are welcome, specs below.

MICS 7.0
Nortel 7316E phones
CP 100 version: 31.10.14.22

Thanks again,
Rob

The mailboxes except up to 8 digits but cannot be forced.
There is also a Non-trival setting in programming so they are not allowed to use passwords like 1234.

As for Brute force, not likely since the mailbox will lock up after so many attempts according to COS.
