There are a few people on the forum that provide help on their own time. If you would like help, please provide as much information as possible as solutions etc can be ver specific.

What version (MP/FP etc) of Veritas NetBackup DataCentre are you running?
What O/S is your master on?
Is your media server different than your master and if so, what O/S?
Where are you running restores from? Your administration console, media server, master server, client etc?
What tape drives do you have and how are they connected, SCSI, Fibre etc?
What controller are you using and what is the driver version?
What is the drive and tape type - LTO, DLT, LTO2 etc?
What is your network connection like - 100Mb/Full, 10Mb/Full, half, gigabit etc?

Basically, the more information that you provide, the easier it is to help, questions like "I am getting error code 14" does not help and wastes all of our times.

Please keep this in mind as the support here is given freely.

Thank you ... Steve

Well put, to bad they cannot have this pop-up when someone goes to post.

Yep, that is too bad but hopefully this will enable enough people to start writing in the necessary info.

I placed these five lines in my profile:
1 NetBackup master HP-UX 11.00
27 media servers NB4.5_FP5
61 clients(oracle,exchange,SQL,W2K,NT,UNIX)

OpenVision NB 2.1 - VERITAS 4.5_FP5
