Obviously, the only usefull way to align the report controls in Crystal report is the use of guidelines.
OK. It is not very user-friendly, but it can work.

The guidelines are very easy to drag with the mouse, but it is never precise enought!

So, how can I precisely set the coordinate of the guideline?

Can somebody help me with this.
Why can't the controls snap to grid and be perfectly adjacent. no matter what grid size I select the edges of controls do not snap to a perfect touch. you have to turn off snap to grid, zoom in x00% and tweak it.
Isn't this rather ridicuous. Another user told me thats what you have to do. I just can't believe this but can't find help anywhere.
Also in regards to this, when I create a marker is there an easy way to link an existing control(s) to that marker?
Currently I just move the control around til it connects.
Sorry if these are elementary questions, or if I sound a little negative.

I welcome any tips and tricks on CR formatting.
