Customer has a Guestworks that has been running CDR out of DCE port for years. I'm not sure how this ever worked from the beginning because it was cross connected through about 300 feet of feeder and sta wire, well beyond the 50 feet recommended. At any rate it appears it no longer has the voltage necassary to drive the output at that distance.
Probably because of cable degradation and so on. I can get records to print to laptop at 300 baud with some regularity. However, at 1200 or above it won't work. The Innform Call accounting won't recognize the output at any speed. Bottom line is I want to use a Data module to send the CDR to the Front Desk. If someone can give me an idea how to accomplish this I'd be greatfull. Info on Data module to use would be helpful.

Sorry for the long post. I wanted to provide sufficient background on the problem.

mjroam,

you can use 8400 data module if you find it. this model is not sold any more but i think it can be found on ebay or something. you'll need a port on any 2-wire dcp circuit pack to connect data module.

Thanks dwalin
I'll look for an 8400B and set it up according to GW docs I have. According to what I've read simply substituting the data modules ext for EIA in sys-para cdr is all thats required along with configuring the 8400.

Gota love telecom. After 25 years I'm still learning something new everyday.
