Hello,
I want to replace the Background Image which appears in the GRUB Menu when the system is boot up (the stage where you are choosing with which OS or profile to boot up).
Does anybody know where that Menus background file is placed and how can i replace it?

Thanks a lot.

If you have the GIMP installed, just create a picture and save as an XPM file.
Code:
gzip
the file and copy it to
Code:
/boot/grub{/code]. Change your GRUB configuration to point to the new file, instead of [code]splash.xpm.gz
.

I've install the GIMP and take the desire IMAGE then convert it to 14 color and save it as xpm file.
i trnsfer the xpm file to my RH-8 machine then i gzip it and place it insted of the orig splashimage file (/boot/grub/..).
when the system comes up i can see only a regular white and black grub menu without my image, why?, Please help me?
