I have a client with SCCS 4.0 and GRTD 3 v 3.05.05 and they are running XP for CCS Clients. They are using NT 4.0 for GRTD Standalone. There are 4 NT PC's as GRTD displays.
All 4 use the same Login ID i.e: GRTD and the password is password. The user has desktop access and has the ability to view reports and displays.
All was working fine until 2 of them froze. Re-booted both and then tried logging in again. I cannot log-in under this user ID.
In GRTD user guide it states that the desktop access class needs to have supervisor cababilities (which is a very broad term). I logged all GRTD users out, then changed access class to a Team Leader. They could all login.

Due to security, the client does not want the GRTD user id (which is widely known by staff) to have the level of access that it does.
Now 2 will log in with GRTD when I change it to a lower access class, but the other two will not.

Is there a restriction on the number of client logins you can use simultaneously?
Why were all PC's logged in using GRTD with a low level access class and now only two can login with a low level?

It's all very odd!

Can anyone shed some light??
Thanks

I've seen GRTD stop taking logins inexplicably, and I get it to work by simply resetting the password on the user profile via the administration client. I would reduce the permissions back down to the minimum, and simply reset the password for the GRTD login at the first sign of problems, without touching the client machines. The only practical limit that I am aware of for simultaneous logins is the 100 that applies to all Symposium fat clients and other applications logging in with the same method.
