hi there! i have a group of records and created a subtotal on each group. but i still need to group those subtotals in specified order such as Group of subtotals that are less than 500 "<500", "500 - 1000", ">1000"

any idea on this matter? thanks!

You can sort the groups using
Report, TopN/Sort Group Expert...

Then, in the Group Header you can suppress or show
a "simulated" header in those cases where you transition between Range limits (using a variable carying the total from the previous group).

The alternative is to create a VIEW (Query in Access)
that pre-computes the totals for each group.

hth,
- Ido CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
