Grouped columnar report

I'm using Access 2000 and wondering if it's possible to have a columnar report that's grouped on a particular field. This way other common fields can be compared across each other, similar to a crosstab query. It's hard to explain, but easier to illustrate:

Company ABC Company XYZ
Yr 1 Sales
Yr 2 Sales
Yr 1 Costs
Yr 2 Costs
etc.


If anyone has an idea how to do this, please point me in the right direction.

firstly, you should be posting this in the Access Reports forum...

yes you can, although I'm not really sure how u'd do this with the wizzard since I hardly ever use that...

what you need to do is to create some groups on your report, goto the sorting and groupings control, it looks something like:

-

and then just add in the fields that you want grouped, and then you can put whatever you want within each group
