Hi, I would like to take control of all the XP Firewalls with GP. Problem that I have is all of the GP settings are not configured. Which is how I want it right now. Cant seem to figure out why my computer is still controled by Group Policy if everything is not configured. I need to delete a defined port in there but it will not let me. Any ideas

Have you run RSOP.msc to find out what policies are being applied where (you should be a local administrator to do this)?

Thanks! I ran it and it shows that it was set on Local Policy. Changed everything to Not Configured and all is well. Now I can setup everything under the Domain Policy

good idea, I think I will do that instead

ok I tried the group policy management console. I linked a windows firewall policy to the OU. Changed some settings on it, clicked enforce and enabled. I tried it out on my machine, it ran but failed it says, Denied: Empty. So I looked it up at Microsoft and it says that it was due to the Linked policy being empty?

Not sure I am doing this right.
