Group Policy-will it affect node running win98 under Win2000Server?

I want to know if a Group policy can take effect when a user logs into a Win2000 Server thru a computer running the Win98 Operating system.

For example if I Enable that the Control Panel should not be displayed for the particular group; will that take effect in win 98 node?

as bronto says, NO. IF you want policies to apply to win9x clients, you must use the System POlicy Editor for Win9x (inside the win98 CD), the create a policy for a group , a user a computer (depending on what you want) and save it as config.pol under the netlogon folder in your domain controler.
