We have set up group policy in our public access area to hide the C drive, but also want to hide the network drives, I and J. We need to allow floppy access.

There doesnt appear to be an option for this in the group policy editor, it only offers restriction to local drives, or all drives.

(I read a Microsoft article suggesting amendment to system.adm file, adding an extra line of code to restrict the drives, however our system.adm file does not contain any reference to drive restriction, so dont know if this is relevant!)

Whats the reason for mounting the drives in the 1st place? You said they are public access computer do you require the share for something ? If not just change the logon script not to mount them for those logins.

Apparantly the drives arent needed (I thought they were!) so many thanks for this tip!
