I need to disable the installation of "mass storage" devices (USB thumbdrives) via policy. All clients are running XP and connected to a domain running 2003 servers.

I know how to disable the USB ports all together via policy, but that isn't acceptable as the users on the network are using USB mice.

any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Pugs,

Only just stumbled across this posting. How have you disabled USB ports via policy. We are running w2k servers with w2k and xp clients.

Thanks
