Hi all

Question regarding group policy, basically i wanted to know if anyone had successfully managed to apply Administrative Templates to a user config and exclude administrators from the policy. Microsoft's Q293655 explains what I need to do but it does not work because it only applies to the administrator that is logged on at the time the policy is setup. Does anyone know how to set local policy's so they only apply to standard users and powerusers and not administrators? This is not a network wide policy, just on a local machine (Win2k Pro).

thanks

Hi

Sorry for the late response, I tried what the others had done in Thread616-654296 with no success.

Basically I am trying to restrict the control panel to a standard remote user as he plays with settings and screws thing up on his laptop. When I follow the steps from Microsoft it does not seem to apply to the users that log on only admin.

Please tell me where I am going wrong, what does the domain account user permission inherit when they log on offline?

Thanks

DS
