Setting up a group policy for Windows XP Pro machines to be in a public access environment by students. I am trying to do the following with GP:

1. Delete user local profile everytime user logs off
2. Default the campus homepage in Internet Explorer

For 1. I have done the following:

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles\Delete cached copies of roaming profiles - ENABLED

For 2. I have done:

User Configuration\Windows Settings\Internet Explorer Maintenance\URLs\Important URLs\ and then added the homepage
The local profile always remains on the HDD and the homepage does not go to the campus homepage. Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks,

Hammertime

Depends if this is all in the same GPO and where it's applied to? If it's applied to the COMPUTERS OU then you need to enable LOOPBACK processing fir the USER settings to be applied as well.

Loopback is already enabled although i'm not sure if it should be?
