By default Outlook 2003 will not display pictures sent in an email. You have to right click on the pictures and choose downloads. You can also save this sender to your safe senders list in your junk email settings and then all messages from this sender will have the pictures already downloaded.
I would like to set up a group policy that pushes out this list if safe senders to all users.
On my computer, I created the list manually and then exported to a .txt file. I put this file on a network locations that all users have read access to.
I downloaded the adm templates for Outlook 2003 so I could set this in the group policy console. I used a UNC path in the 'Specify path to Safe Senders list' in the group policy object. I've linked the gpo object to an OU but it doesn't seem to work. The safe senders aren't displayed in the users' outlook settings and the pictures aren't being downloaded automatically for these senders.
Does this policy only work if you haven't created your outlook profile yet?
Is there some other setting I need to set for this policy to work?
