If I set up Group Policies on the Server and my client PCs running Windows 9x, will the Policy Settings still be effective ??

Nope sorry - group policies will only be applied to Win200
clients/servers.

Stuck with 9x system policies I'm afraid - time to upgrade those clients :-)

Do Group Policies apply if the client machine is running Win XP as that's the way the clients are going.

Yes Windows 2000 or above - I'm runnning XP clients with Group policies from a Win2000 server in a test lab. Works fine.
