Is there a way to have a Group call terminate when any group member answers the call? Considered Group Hunt, however, in a large area with the call hunting around the room it can be a very long process for the caller, who may get tired of waiting and hang up, and whoever is available in the group to answer the call.

Have you tried using MCR keys? Rings on all phones at once, first to get it takes the calls and frees line up for another caller. If this is a busy number, adding a second MCR on all phones with roll over from the first will cut down on busy signals for callers and you can stack more on if needed.

mcr and group call may be two diff features... group call only works if all members are off the line and answer the phone... not great for a large group.. i use it to call 3 stations that are auto answer.. but in most cases it's not a good feature...

do you need a conf with the full group? add a scn (r) to all the sets and add an analog with the same dn... then call the scr... ever one that answers will be on a party line... i've used it for inhouse conf call... all members of it get an email that we have a conf call at 9:00... i call 1000.. anyone can answer and the others pick up the phone either when they see the time, or the lamp go dark or get a txt to join the call

Thank you both.

It is not so much that I need to talk with everyone in the group. It's more like; My command needs to talk with a "live" body, within the group. So my command wishes to call the entire group, to get to a "live" body, not voice mail. I have DIDs to assign DNs to each group(30) and put that "group" DN on a different Key and then ring the "group" DN. But then I'm back to my SCR vs SCNR senario mentioned in my other thread. In a large room 10+ phones all ringing at once is very intrusive.

Ideal solution for me would be:
- create a group number - xxxx
- put group number on key 1 SCNR
- the group number "flashes" the Message waiting lamp
- less intrusive for users not in group

Unless you're looking at the phone, and see the little phone icon "flipping" by the extension, you don't know you have a call, when key is set to SCNR.

Thanks again

MCN gives you the non ringing version of what I described. Program as any regular extension just as MCN instead of SCR or SCN.
