I can' make hese lines ring. I installed an IP400 analog trunk to an ip office 3.2 system and installed five ground start lines the first of which is ending in 29xx and assigned them to incoming line group 5. I need the lines to ring at a given hunt group (29xx) which has 4 sets assigned. I set up a route of 29xx with incoming line group 5. It is not showing in Call Status at all. help

the line:
1581095775mS PRN: LAW=U PRI=0, BRI=0, ALOG=8, ADSL=0 VCOMP=12, MDM=0, WAN=0, MODU=0 LANM=0 CkSRC=0 VMAIL=1(VER=2 TYP=3) CALLS=1(TOT=8280)

shows alog=8 which means that two atm4s are detected

Sysmonitor still says trying to connect. I am not sure if it ever worked.

Is it the correct type trunk card.. if I remeber right there were 2 types of trunk cards.. Loop start and Ground start

Good point about ground start. I suppose that you have changed the default programming for each trunk from loop start to ground start and have grounded the chassis?

It doesn't appear to work with loop start either. I tried an analog system dn. The module is version 6.2(20) while others are 5.2(57). Does it matter?

Ground start trunks only work in ATM 16 expansions if I remember correctly. Are these trunks in the main chassis or an expansion?

I was going to say the same - but you beat me to it

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I don't see much ground start anymore. The few times we run across them we have telco orders written to convert them to loop start. Easier to troubleshoot for people that don't know how to test a ground start trunk.

1mS PRN: Monitor Started IP=10.111.152.12 IP 406 3.2(69) friendship
1mS PRN: LAW=U PRI=1, BRI=0, ALOG=4, ADSL=0 VCOMP=4, MDM=0, WAN=0, MODU=5 LANM=0 CkSRC=5 VMAIL=1(VER=2 TYP=1) CALLS=0(TOT=315)
I am still only showing the 4ports of analod plugged into the IP406. how do we get this to recognise these?

Got it, I guess you need to ground the system. Thanks cargoski, biv, nystech, all... Next issue... today only one did on the pri works at the othe site. This one is probably telco.
