I am using the crystal reports RDC with visual basic. I am trying to write a report that exports neatly to excel. If I was using the crystal reports designer outside of VB I would use gridlines to do this. Does anyone know if it is possible to put gridlines in the RDC + how is it done??

Any other advice on exporting to excel via RDC would be appreciated. ;-)

Please clarify. Are you using designing or only running the report inside the RDC-based application?

There is a tech document on designing Crystal reports so they export well to Excel. Also, the RDC exposes lots or properties that allow you to control Excel exports.

I am designing and running the report in the RDC. I have managed to get a fairly good export by using the gridlines to ensure all my fields are the same size as their heading, and are perfectly aligned horizontally with their heading.
