Hello Everyone,

I just installed Great Plains on a computer running Windows 2000 Professional. I have checked the ODBC and everything else I check when we are having problems with Great Plains on a computer, and I cannot figure out why on this particular computer is Great Plains running three times as slow as it does on any other computer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this would occur? It is driving me nuts. (Great Plains version 6.0)

Thanks,

Amy

What kind of network connection do you have, you should be running 100 MB/s minimum, direct to switch ideally. What is the computer's processor and memory compared to the others? What is the ping from the client to the server?

These are all things I would check first.

I reformatted the hard drive using ntfs opposed to fat32 (we were having some problems formatting with fat32) and Great Plains is working fine now. Weird.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Amy
