When I am on the internet, I occassionally stumble across sites that have graphics that are dark and fuzzy.

Recently this happened on the new MSN hotmail format but suddenly most of it seems ok now.

Not all of the graphics on a page appear unreadable...only some of them.

Can anyone suggest a reason why I have this problem??? I have tried playing around with my desktop settings with no improvement...including tweaking the accelerator ...nothing..

Any help is appreciated

What video board are you using? Have you updated the drivers? What type of monitor? I just ran into a problem with an old monitor hooked up to Win98. On certain games, the game changes the resolution and the monitor can't handle this. You may have a similar problem.

My video adaptor is : Trident Super VGA
Monitor is : TTX7450G

I have made no adjustments to my machine....all of a sudden websites that were displaying fine now don't.

This website displays fine...I have no problem with any graphics on this site...however others have one or more graphics that look almost like a "negative".

this is the version of my IE browser if that can help

Version: 5.50.4807.2300IC
Cipher Strength: 128-bit (Update Information)
Update Versions:; SP2;

What I find curious is that only some websites are affected....not all. Are some graphics different than others??

Re-seat the video card. The video board you are using is very out of date with almost no memory. Depending on how much of that onboard memory is used and released, you may not be able to see some high graphics sites.

Ahhhh...that may well be the case....I will try it
