Hey all-

How can I give my receptionist the right to modify/add/change Contact info in Outlook on her pc.. I would like to accomplish this in Active Directory.. can it be done?? don't know exactly what permission to give her or how to do it, how can I make her an editor or author so to speak..

thx for a great support group

You mean "Contact" as far as the address book. If that is what you mean she should already have permissions.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

I don't think what you are looking for is in Active Directory. You will want to go into your Outlook options and make her a delegate (I belive it is the last tab). You will then be able to give her the permissions that you want to contacts, calendars, or whatever you think she needs.

Actually,

I'd like the person to be able to add contact info in Public Folders.. but am not sure how to do this.. thru Active Directory??

Not exactly. The easiest way is to create a new folder that contains contacts. Once you have created the folder you can right click on it and use share properties to grant the receptionists whatever rights she needs.
