Gradient background causes form flicker

I have a nice gradient .bmp I'm using as a background (embedded picture / stretch). It causes the form to flicker when scrolling through records. I've tried "echo" & "repaint" advice found here, but to no avail. Anyone figure this out yet?

Forms (sometimes) flicker with images. I've found if you try saving the image with differnt images or image formats it sometimes helps; embedding or linking don't seem to matter. I have some mouse over events with images that I just can't get to not flicker. There's a sort of annoying soltion which is: you close and open the form, or export a report... and the flickering stops. It also seems to occur on select computers (sometimes).

Maybe this is just a sympathetic post that has no real cut and dry answer. Good luck. I'll post anything if i ever find a perfect solution.

Do a search for gradient. You'll find you can set the gradient background to any gradient you want.
