I want to be able to set up group policy so that our domain is always listed in the Log on to box rather than the local machine. Does anyone know how to do this?
Do you want it "default", or do you not want to be able to change it.
If so, this can be very dangerous. Especially since if it can be done in the resgistry, it will be a tottooing registry hack, which means when the machine is removed from the domain, or out of the ou, then the registry will still be set specifying that you can only log onto domain, therefore never being able to log on locally. You/sys admin / tech support may need to log on locally as an admin/tech to fix a problem.
I would not recommend doing this.
The default option, the one that is automatically selected, is always which ever was last logged on. (so when a machine was on the logged onto the domain, on reboot, domain will be the default option)
Hope this Helps.
