Hi All,

Here's the situation:

We have 6 Windows 2000 Advance servers all acting as Logon servers.

We login on a Windows 2000 Pro client to the network and some old GPOs get applied (These GPOs are no longer required and have been removed). We reboot the client and log on as the same user and everything works fine.

This only happens to some of the computers (we know it is unlikely to be a computer problem). We feel that one of the servers isn't sending the right GPOs to the clients but we are unable to find the culprit.

Any ideas?

Mark

I would browse to where the policies are held on each server which should be <root>\winnt\sysvol\sysvol\'domain'\policies and see if any policies are lying around in here that dont show up in users and computer

If you have some new policies applied, you can get the unique name of the policy by looking at the properties via users and computers, that way you can identify them in the above path

In addition to what the Mac proposes... take a look at the Group Policy Management download (or 2003 adminpak.msi I think). The Group Policy Results|Policy Events tool will tell you which policies have been applied from where.
