While troubleshooting an IE crashing problem, I came across this web page which walked me, step-by-step, through analyzing the dump file using a free Microsoft utility called WinDgb.
Because of this article, I was able to track down the cause of the problem and fix it in a short amount of time.
If you ever have to deal with fixing Windows crashes (which you probably do), I HIGHLY recommend this article. It's four pages long, but I had my problem solved by page 3.
