I am using Checkpoint NG-AI with Nokia IP40 devices. I have been looking into implementing a syslog server for just the firewalls and Nokia devices. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I do not have a preference between open source or purchased software. Thanks.

If you have any unix boxes you can use there syslog daemon, if not. There's kiwi syslog daemon, it's not bad for Windows systems, we are currently using until we find something better.

Cool. I have a couple Red Hat Linux boxes, I would imagine they have a decent syslog daemon. I will have to give kiwi a shot if I decide to run it on Windows.

I know that there's a an application that can be used on unix boxes that you can use to epage alerts from the syslog file.
