I have a client that wants to purchase MS Project. Anyone have some good places to check. Also, are there mutliple versions (eg stand-a-lone, enterprise, etc)?

He is an architect and wants to schedule his building projects. Are there any issues, problem areas and/or gotchas I should be aware of in that arena? Ideas and/or suggestions from anyone who has worked with MS Project are welcomed. Thank you!

Have a great day!

Purchasing:
Is he an architect or a project planner? If he's an architect, he should buy a few books on Microsoft project. Here's a test: If one of those books is a "Dummy's" book then he should purchase 3 others. If he doesn't feel he needs a Dummy's book then he should get two books. (No ... I won't make specific recommendations. He should read the ToC and check out the index in any book he is planning to buy.)

It's an extremely rich environment and not a simple program like Word or Excel. There is a very real learning curve.

Thanks, I appreciate your time!

Have a great day!
