Good 'Ol Avaya Error codes (deciphering 101)

Can anyone tell me how to figure out what this error code means? Why does Avaya make these so difficult to decipher? Has anyone tried to make better sense of these error codes and how to find out exactly what they mean and especially how to resolve them? Every link I have found in previous posts points to a "sorry not found" page...

Attached is the link to the Avaya maintenance manual for CM 3.0. The Chapter 5 contains the information and testing procedures for the various Maintenance Objects.

Error 3585, AUX Data 57424: No loop current on outgoing call.

Error 1537: Failed the dial tone test.

The above link will get you into the maintenance section of Avaya's support page. Here you can look for the load and flavor of switch and look up and resolve most all errors and alarms. Not too long ago Avaya went from sending customers a box of manuals with an upgrade to a couple CD's that has most everything on it. I guess being used to the manuals (and being set in my ways) I still go online and look them up vs. the CD's.

Thanks all! Funny thing is.. this was alarming all night last night, and as soon as I go to look at 4meravaya's reply it stopped. I am assuming this was an issue with our carrier. since nothing was touched here...
