I'm not even sure how to describe what I am looking for but here goes...

I have a CF search app which has an option at the bottom to open up a csv of the results in a new window if the option is chosen, or if it is not chosen the results are displayed by calling another page. What the bigwigs want is one csv program(csv.cfm) to be used across many applications. I am wondering if it is possible that before the data displays to screen based on the Csv parameter if the program can redirect to the csv.cfm page open up a window and display the results and the only thing on the csv.cfm page shows is a couple of links to go to the main menu or do another search.

Does this make any sense?

Tim

one csv.cfm file over many applications is a bad idea. if each csv has it's own file to create the csv, what concern is it to your "Bigwigs" what file makes the csv they need?

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
