We have several NT 4.0 (SP 6a) and Win2K member servers in a mixed NT4/Win2K domain. I beleive the DCs are all Win2K servers.
Our group of 4 admins has exclusive ownership of these servers, but we are not domain admins. We have elected to exclude the domain admins from any administrative rights on these servers. Also, since these are Domino web servers, domain users have no business accessing these servers using any method other than https. Any shares on these servers are for the use of our admin team and no one else.
Although we have removed the Domain Admins and Domain Users groups from the local Adminstrators and Users groups, they keep reappearing.
I have not seen this happen in an all NT 4.0 domain so I'm assuming it has something to do with the Active Directory.
Is my assumption correct? Does anyone know of a way we can stop this from happening?
