We recently converted a customer's 2 T-1 circuits to 2 PRI circuits on a 412 running 3.1.56. We're provisioned as NI2, ESF, B8ZS, network clock on the first circuit and fallback on the second. We had no problems prior to the change but have had some problems since then with "dropped" calls. The customer states that some calls never complete and they are dropped without any indication of busy signals, etc. The service provider claims we may have a "glare" problem - despite my remark that I didn't think this was at all likely on a PRI. Needless to say we're at our wits end and the customer's patience is wearing thin. Any ideas? The service provider (AT&T) is no help at all.

Thanks for the reply jml2665. I had looked at those threads prior to submitting my question and will look at that on our next visit to the site. I'll post my findings.

You issue most likely is originating from an inaccurately set 1-23 or 23-1 setting on your line form. Validate what the carrier is sending to you so that you can set the opposite setting on your PRI lines.

The problem is/was with the carrier - they're not providing answer supervision (good job AT&T). The actual problem is that a far-end busy is causing the "dropped call" scenario without any indication. The fix was to uncheck "off hook station" for all users under the telephony tab; the "local busy tone" under the telephony tab in system was not enough to clear the problem.

Try upgrading to 3.1 65
The problem states that it is for 406v2 but might just as well test if it fixes your problem.

Fixed in 3.1 65
CQ25960 : 2 PRI Modules in a 406v2 chassis will not clock properly. Transmit clock on 2nd PRI floats
