Hello all, a brief explaination (hum hum)
a nt4 domain (1000+ clients) & sun iplanet as email system
for some key users I installed a seperate W2K domain(SP2) with Exchange 2000(SP3) and provided a trust relationship.

I used the procedure below to give an NT4 account permissions on the Exchange mbx
How to Associate an Exchange 2000 Mailbox with a Windows NT 4.0 Account

This doesn't work: these are the errors in the server's eventlog

Logon Failure on database "First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (HLNS001)"
- Windows 2000 account domain\devosj; mailbox /o=domain/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=devosj.
Error: -2147221231

Can somebody provide more insight on this matter?

Where can I look or search for a solution?

thanx
All help is apreciated

solved it myself

when giving permissions using the article above you have to uncheck all the other permissions that are given by default

then it works
