Hi,

I used to have a laptop with a removeable hard drive. My laptop died and now I need my data! The HD doesn't have IDE sized connectors but small pins that connect when the drive is pushed into the laptop. Does anyone know if I can get an adapter to connect my drive to a desktop PC?

Help! I hadn't backed up in three months!

Regards,

Michael.

I know that converters do exist for the mini laptop harddrives so that they can hook up to a standard ide cable, they are out there I have seen some. However, I'm not the person to ask where to find them, I haven't a clue where to find them, but atleast there's hope...

If it were me I'd get on the web and do a search for:
connectors +laptop/IDE

I bet it would give many results. Hope my little bit helps.

Try "disk drive adapter" search. Converter kits include rails to make the drive 3.5. Ed Fair

Thanks for the link and all your help! At least I can make a start.
