Hi,

I've recently acquired a sup II+ TS. When I connect a gigabit nic to the the 10/100/1000 sfp connectivity to the server resources is intermittent, eventually resulting in the hanging of windows explorer. Both the nic and switch port are set to auto negotiate, which I believe is the recommended setting, can someone shed some light on this please?

thanks

This used to be a problem with some Intel NICs. The NIC and the Cisco device have differnet autonegotiation schemes, and do not reach an identical setup at each end of the link. Intel did have some updated drivers to fix the problem

Tie both ends to the same speed & duplex & it will probably work.
