Anyone know how to add a gif file to the signature of an email in outlook 2002, I've added the gif using the advanced editor. but when recieved it's just a box with an X .. it's not embedding the picture just pointing to the file.

actually, I wouldn't mind knowing how to add it to my tek-tips profile as well.

thanks.

I lay claim to nothing and everything. My words may be wisdom or disaster. In the end you make a choice. Noone is perfect.

Check the following settings: Tools, Options, Mail Format tab, Internet Format button. Make sure that 'When an HTML message contains.....' is checked and that 'convert to HTML' is set.

To add it to your tek-tips signature, you'll have to post it to some web space then include an html image tag in your signature. Some people may not take too kindly to this though because it could slow the time it takes to open the page.

that was the right area for options, The checkbox include a copy of the picture instead of pointing to its location. was what i needed..

Thanks
