hello,

i'm new with premiere. I try to import a gif or png image which i'll put in front of the movie in layers. so, u will see a gif or png image and where the areas are transparent u will see the movie playing in the background...

I try to do that BUT the transparent area in the image turned to be black so i could not see the movie in the BG.

1. what's wrong with that?
2. Does anybody have some good turtorial links????

I don't think you can import a transaprent GIF and have the GIF automatically show as transparent. What transparency setting are you using (select the clip and press CTRL-G, try them all)?

You may have to add an alpha channel behind it.

I show how to do that at
