Has anyone been able to get Office XP to work consitently using Norton Ghost. I have been able to get it to work sporadically, but most of the time I get the Activation prompt. I have the correct amount of licenses but doing mass deploys of boxes, I don't want to have to activate each box. There must be a way!!!

Install ghost and then create two boot disks, I presume you are doing this across a network? You then need to run sysprep...This can be found on the windows XP PRO install disk in SUPPORT/TOOLS/DEPLOY copy this to your hard drive into a folder called SYSPREP and then open it. Make all the changes that you want to the look of your XP machine, Set your machine to boot from the A:/ drive first ( BIOS) Go into the SYSPREP folder you created and run the MIni setup (this asks you various questions about the installation including the Licence No) then run sysprep. When the machine closes down insert your GHOST BOOT floppy.
Do the same on your other machine follow the on screen instructions and it will ghost across the image from one machine to another. When they restart they will run the minisetup you created and automatically enter all the Licence Numbers etc. Hope this helps. I have used this on over 100 machines in my school

Some lead, some follow....I just Hope!
