I use Ghost 2001 to image workstations on our network but when I try to Ghost a server I get errors when booting the server with the boot disk created with Ghost. Sometime the errors refer to Protman or congig.sys. Several times it seemed to start but then hung up before the nic could be loaded.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Is the hardware identical? Sounds like a NIC is in the wrong slot or on the wrong IRQ or some kind of hardware difference.

Did you create the ghost while booted to that OS or was it a floppy boot ghost? Also what are you running, FAT or NTFS?

Zelandakh, I created the boot floppy from a win 98 machine. Then tried to boot to an nt server. DO I have to create it from the server? No the hardware is not exact, I did use the dos nic for the server on the boot disk. Ntfs is the server file system.

This si a ghost 2001 for the systemworks disk. What does the -ntil parameter do influent?
