Ghost Word Taskbar Window

When I start Word or Outlook an extra Word window opens and places itself in the taskbar. This "Word window" is totally blank. it cannot be closed or minimized. The taskbar Icon for the window is a big blue "W" like the the one for the actual Word window but without the page in the background. I am using WinXPPro, Office XP Pro with Front Page.
