Ghost Domain in Win2k active directory

How can I remove the old domain name from Active Directory? When I migrated from NT4 to Win2k we had 2 domains with cross trusts set up. When we removed the old domain PDC the domain name did not go away from the active directory. I still shows up when you run Domain Monitor in Win2k Tools. Worse than that it still showes up on any Win2k pro clients My Network Places but not on Win2k Servers. Anybody got any ideas?
