Arrrrg,

Hi all, I am trying - and failing brilliantly - to image a XP box onto another box. Stop laughing its not funny!

I have tried several different builds of XP on as many different boxes and they all die at the same point AGP40.sys. No really its not that funny!

I prep the Box using sysprep. the most recent switches I have tried is: Sysprep /mini /nosidgen /PNP

I then create the image no probs verify it etc. no problem.

I then boot the PC that I want to clone, intall the image and all is good and happy. I then use Ghost Walk (ghstwalk.exe) to change the PC name and thus the SID.

Reboot all is well right up to the point it blue screens automatically reboots then if I boot to safe mode I can watch where it falls over which is..... drum roll............. AGP40.SYS

Once you stop laughing at me can you let me know what I am doing wrong?

Cheers,

Iain

Do you have a BIOS setting for primary video? If so, make sure it's
still set for PCI. Also....
The source seems to be a bad driver, so you might need to boot into
a floppy disk and edit the boot files until you find agp40.sys, then typing 'rem '
in front of it. This will remove it from the startup sequence.

OMG, I swear I have searched and searched the MS/symentec/google websites for AGP40 with no luck.

I take it back completely..... feel free to keep on laughing!

Will let you know how I get on!
