I had a 98 machine that logged into an nt4 domain.
I had login scripts set up to where net drives would
be mapped automatically and the the 98 maching would
get its time from the nt4 server. I upgraded to xp
and the network drives get mapped but it doesnt change
the time on the xp machine to the time on the server.
any ideas?
thanks

this is kind of a half assed attempt to help but I know that XP can log into a time server and update...Just of of my head I forget the exact process.....sorry!!

Im not really sure if Win XP can update the time from a Win NT4 Server. Just go to command prompt of the WinXP machine and try playing with Net Time commands (Thats if WinXP still supports the Net commands), then if it works update the login script.
But the real reason for this post, is to make aware to people that win XP has a feature which automatically updates their system time with a time server on the internet. Which could be considered good or bad depending of how much you like MS taking over your computer. To view the settings for this. Right mouse click on your clock on the taskbar and go to properties

Im glad you posted that. My login scripts were working but it was synchronizing with time.windows.com. All I did was uncheck it and everything worked.
Thanks for the info.
