getting the toolbox back???

I was sent a db, built by someone else and which I now need to change around for ourselves here!
The problem is that the toolbar and the toolbox cannot be used as they are 'shaded out'!!
For example I want to delete a combo box and replace it with Find Record, but I cannot get at the Command Button Wizard to do this!!
Any ideas on how to get these back so as I can make changes to the various forms etc I need to change???

Did you try launching the db while holding the shift key?

Hello Jim,

The problem was in the conversion from 97 to 2000. It turns out that the Tools-Start-up thing is changed when converting. So I just ticked the options and the advanced option and then I was ready to edit.
