Greetings!
I am new at Crystal Reports - actually, I'm not even new to it - I have been requested to do a report using Crystal, so I guess I better learn =-)
I have a web app that creates a report using ASP/HTML, however, it has been requested to do the report using Crystal Reports for better presentation and such.
They are currently using a Word document as a template for the report and want the Crystal report to look the exact same.
Can I use the word doc as a template? If so, how? I can't get it to open up or save it in a format crystal will open. I did save the document as a web page and then opened it using notepad. I cut/paste the code into an asp page and it worked - EXCEPT - when I saved it as a web page, it shifted the report to the left and cut off the entire left margin as well as the first few columns of the report (I tried making the margin bigger to avoid this, but didn't work).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work or should I just start from scratch? I have some books here I am reading from (rather...learning on the fly), but they don't address this.
Thanks in advance,
Squirleegirl
